This page shows off two games of which I took part in developing: Macchinisto, and Infinite Robot.
MACCHINISTO is an Adventure / Puzzle game mod that forces the player to overcome obstacles using the various tools given to them. The goal of the game is to repair your giant robot friend from the inside out with your repair gun, starting from inside his toes and upwards, before the volcano erupts and destroys you both.
In 2009, 7 other team members and I created this game using Unreal Engine 3. I managed all model and texture importation, assets organization, as well as modeled and painted some of the textures myself. I also did the majority of the lighting, level composition, and helped with the puzzle creation and documentation process.
95% of the game was custom made, save for 2 temporary textures that came with the Editor, and animations for running and jumping!
In 2009, Macchinisto won a "Best non-FPS" award from the "Make Something Unreal" contest of 2009. The award was bestowed by Epic Game Studio Judges.
INFINITE ROBOT was created using Unity3D during the Global Game Jam of 2012, in San Francisco. The game features a Cel-Shaded world, where Aliens are homing in to attack your Island. You are a flying robot who serves to protect it, using your sword, missles, and other projectiles.
The games main feature is the ability to fly around and shoot aliens using the Kinect's motion control input. Certain key gestures and motions activate weapons. Swaying from side to side, leaning back and forward, controls flight direction.
My involvement was modeling, texturing and placing objects in the world. More specifically, I created the entire Island terrain, Stalagmites, Rocks, and Textures for all said objects.
Infinite Robot was made with a team of 6, under 48 hours. All assets, programming and game-play was developed from scratch, from concept on paper to 3D & playable in a very constrictive 48 hour span of time.
Infinite Robot won 2 awards at the Global Game Jam of 2012, San Francisco, which were "Best 3D Art" and "Technical Excellence." Awards were bestowed by an overall vote of the Global Game Jam community of San Francisco.
